Event Name Vic MTBO Series #5 – Muckleford

Description

The Muckleford MTBO Event has been rescheduled to November 19. This is due to a clash with the Adventure Rogaine on the weekend of November 12.

The Muckleford Forest map, near Maldon and Newstead, has been revamped with the ISMTBOM2010 20000.ocd symbols including the 2 x 4 track system. The map also incorporates over 20 km of new single tracks.

ENTRY: Enter online through Eventor.
Online entries close at midnight Wednesday 18th October.

ONLINE ENTRY FEES:
Orienteering Victoria member $20 Adult, $15 Junior. Non-member: $30 Adult, $25 Junior

On-the-Day Entry is dependent on available maps.

COURSES: Choose whichever length course you like.
Course 1:
35.6 km – 510m climb – 18 controls Course 2: 27.3 km – 395m climb – 16 controls Course 3: 22.7 km – 350m climb – 13 controls Course 4: 14.7 km – 180m climb – 8 controls

Score course: 2 hours – visit as many controls as you can in any order.

Special Children's Course: A special small children's course with 6 animal coded controls to find on a simple circuit. FREE ENTRY. Children to be accompanied by an adult.

Loan map boards will be available, free of charge for new riders.

Online Entry:
For most events you will need to pre-enter via Orienteering Australia's Eventor online entry system.
If you haven't used it before, you will first need to register (free) and then enter the event you require.
There should be a link in the event listing on this page to the entry page for each event, or you can navigate through the Event Calendar in Eventor, which lists all Australian orienteering events.

Electronic timing:
An electronic timing system called SportIdent is used at most events. Competitors carry an SI card with them during each event which records their start, finish and each control they visit during the event. Regular competitors purchase their own SI card, but there are SI cards available for hire ($3) at events.
