Park and Street Orienteering

More Fun Than the Same Old Run

Bored with running the same old block? Tired of trudging on the treadmill? Looking for a new way to give your brain and body a boost? Want to see new places and meet new faces?

Park and Street Orienteering provides the perfect combination of mental and physical exercise. You do not need a compass or any special map reading ability. However, it will test your thinking while giving you a great workout in a friendly, safe, outdoor environment.   Events are held all over Melbourne, all year round.

Our events welcome people of all ages and abilities, and accommodate everyone from the elite sports person to those looking for a good walk to help stay in shape.

Families and friends can participate in groups or individually.  Groups such as schools, scouts, sports or social clubs are very welcome - but please contact us at least a week prior to the event, so we can make sure enough maps are printed.

Printed programs covering all of Melbourne are available at most events. Further information is also available on this website: Want to learn more? Click here

Park and Street - Latest News

Bayswater

Saturday, 8 July 2017

Another week, another series - it's Spring Carnival time!  Winter is almost half over and before long we'll be basking in the gentle glow of evening sunshine.  Well a girl can dream ... Congratulations to Jenny Chapman, who joined the ranks of The Millennium Club by completing her 500th event.

The five pointers were in easy reach, making the lower points the ones to think about.  For example, was no 3, so close to the start, a trap? Probably - I ran out of time to get 10 even though it was just within reach. Early decisions were potentially costly.  Ian emerged the winner on A course, ahead of Paul, Andrew, Tim and Geoff.  B course saw Tim claim victory with 66 points, just pipping Simon on 55, with Ian, Jay and Peter M making up the top five.  Dave had a clear win on PW with 58 points; Rob, Helen and Lyn all got 53, and Kay was fifth on 52.

The overall results will appear after the next event - then we'll see who has been promoted!

See you next Wednesday at Dandenong Creek in Heathmont.
