Ashwood South South
Saturday, 24 June 2017
No that's not a typo in the heading - we used Ashwood South south, an underused part of the world but a great little map, and an excellent course set by Rob. It was very inviting to keep heading west, but then you had to get back through a convoluted street layout where the controls looked closer together than they were. Vic just missed getting a full complement of 9 targets, while Ray and Dale both managed 7. For the walkers, Phil and Dave also got 7 targets, while Helen and Ros each got 6. On the score course, 5 runners got the lot, led by Steve, then Ian, Andrew, Bruce and Warwick. Garry topped the PW standings with 80 points, ahead of Rick and Suzanne.
In the quest for chocolate, Vic leads the overall field for Target runners, ahead of Ray and Lauris. On Target PW, Phil has a perfect 800 points, with Ros in second and Pete third. Andrew leads the Score runners ahead of Warwick and Rick, while Dave has another perfect score for PW ahead of Suzanne and Gwennyth. But look out because Michael is perfectly positioned to move into second if he competes next week.
See you for the final Autumn series event next Monday at Heany Park in Rowville. Monday presentations will be held at the Wednesday night dinner on July 5, at the Bayswater Hotel.
