ABC Radio’s David Astle Talks Orienteering

ABC Radio host David Astle had a 10 minute chat about orienteering with Ian Dodd on his evening show, broadcast between 9.15 and 9.25pm on Tuesday November 19.  Ian answered a range of questions from “how to get unlost”, to how technology has changed orienteering; why park street orienteering is like solving a puzzle; how Melbourne has produced a world champion; and how to get involved in local park street events.

The segment came about after the show’s producer picked up a park street fixture in her local library, and contacted Orienteering Victoria to find out more.

The audio file is available on the ABC website until November 26. To listen, go to this link, and use the slider at the bottom of the video to go forward to exactly 2:00 (or 2:10 if you want to skip the appropriate musical intro).
